Cliff Hirsch is a technology executive with a 25-year career highlighted by myriad successful sales, marketing and business development initiatives. He has spent his entire career immersed in technology industries as an analyst, publisher and consultant. He has analyzed 4,000 private technology companies, tracks more than 150 public companies, is a Limited Partner in several venture capital funds, and is an active advisor in the semiconductor, communications and IT arenas.

Hirsch founded Pinestream Communications, Inc. in 1997 to publish Semiconductor Times, the most respected industry newsletter focused on emerging semiconductor companies and technologies. Recognizing trends in communications, he expanded his business to include telecom, datacom, and the nascent M2M communications industries.

Building upon 15 years of deep domain expertise and extensive global C-level relationships, Hirsch formed Pinestream Advisors in 2008 to focus on M&A, capital raising and strategic advisory services for technology companies. Recognizing the critical revenue imperative that companies – both small and large – face, Hirsch formed Pinestream Consulting Group in 2010 to provide business and corporate development services to semiconductor, communications and information technology companies.

Cliff spent the earlier years of his career in the semiconductor industry, where he held engineering, sales and marketing leadership positions with AMD, Cypress Semiconductor and Alliance Semiconductor.

Cliff is a graduate of Cornell University, with BSEE, MSEE and MBA degrees. In his spare time, he enjoys running marathons, skiing and tennis.
